I decided to keep the kick stand on my Tern. I was going to remove it but surprised myself how much I do use it.
Enjoy it Tone, loving my 20" folder, sure you'll love your new toy too

Too hot for a ride today...

I disagree, I did 74 miles, but consumed 3 bottles of water, and two of them had electrolyte tables in., Oh and I had a Tuna and red onion sandwich with side salad and a pot of green tea. Yummy! I nearly forgot that lunch stop, must be the heat.

I guess it's not 'special fitness' or anything like that, I don't mind extreme heat when cycling. Cold though...... absolutely detest it.
All our bodies have their own characteristics.
Some of it is the insulation (or lack of it) offered by high (or low) body fat, together with the increased (or decreased) effort required to lug that body fat around.

When I was obese (approximately 110 kg/17.5 stone) I used to suffer terribly in the heat but was okay in the cold. Nowadays I weigh around 82 kg (13 stone) and am much better on warm days than cold ones. Mind you, I am still not a fan of heavy exertion in temperatures of 25+ degrees!

The bigger you are, the less surface area you have as a ratio to volume, therefore the harder it is to shed excess heat. I've never done well in the heat, but in the cold will be in shirtsleeves while others are shivering in their coats.
