The strange thing with that it is I cannot ever remember hating the smell etc, guess I had been bought up with it. Smoking on planes was the best, you could cut through it with knife to get to the Toilets at the back.

Another post bought back some memories my first belt of beer was Double Diamond, snuck a swig from the kitchen when no one was looking, trouble was someone had used it as an ashtray..

Planes with flip lid ashtrays in the chair arm. I was amazed how long these remained common place after smoking was banned on aeroplanes.
