It was good to see Webber doing well after all the comments about him being past it. He did have one fantastic race earlier in the season when he was in angry mode, very entertaining but didn't amount to much.

I think Button did all right, he doesn't like Spain very much, it's one of his iffy tracks whereas Michael is extremely happy at Barcelona and happy with the upgrades.

I wonder if those comments were by the same people who said Button was past it 2 years ago ?!

Good result for Webber. Hamilton and Button were both unfortunate, not the best of days for Mclaren but Buttons still in the lead. RT i think it's unfair claimin Button was half asleep, it's extremely hard to overtake on that circuit at the best of time, let alone one of the best strategic drivers of all time! On to Monaco next week, the standout event.

Yes, fair enough. I should say that I like Button and I think he's a very good driver.

Alonso gained again by default.... Could be his year. Similar to the season when Rosberg senior won it. Still early days yet.

hamilton is a very hard aggresive driver and button has always been smooth. it seems vettel is hard on his brakes too by the highlights i have just watched and his issues at the beginning of the season. button struggled topass schumacher which was a shame!

Wonderful drive by Webber again.

I see we still have the inconsistancies in the way penalties are handed out. Massa blatently blocked Button in qualifying yet no penalty, Schumacher overtakes Alonso under green flag conditions = penalty.

I think that Monaco is no longer a place for these cars to race. A few of us got together to watch it a Local Pub (run by Brits) here in Quangzhou and I don't think anyone stayed until the end of the race.

Monaco is one of the ultimate tests of precise and controlled driving with little or no margin for error and the onboard footage is always wonderful to watch. Long may it continue. It's preferable to some Tilke monstrosity built in the middle of a desert like Bernie Ecclestone seems to favour nowadays.

shame it didnt work out but it was great to see that schumacher still has his canny head on in the way he overtook alonso at the last corner. was almost worth the penalty just to see alonso being made to look stupid!

and what was with alonso gesturing at the backmarkers? err, you're the tosspot who cocked up your own qualifying, why should they get out of your way when they're entitled to race for position, albeit at the back. he is such a self-gratification artist.

I dont doubt the driver skills but it doesnt make for myuch spectator action eg overtaking and actual racing. I agree about the desert built monstrosities
