The men's Nordic combined event was very exciting - I was actually willing one of the American team to win but he came in second.

It looks like a painful event.

In that case, look closely at the outfits for the Canadian speed skaters!
Seems to be a funny place to put the black motif of the Maple Leaf.

I can't see it unless it's the black thing on the thigh and upper arm?

I'm confined to 'watching' crap on TV til elder Noodlette goes to bed - hence my time on here...

I really enjoyed the long speed skating last night more than the shorter stuff but it was still enjoyable, especially the crashes.

And the faceplants in the women's moguls were a laff!

Oh, so do I, but this is one of the few events that the USA have never won a medal in and the poor guy obviously wanted to win SO badly. Except not quite badly enough, obviously

I'm a bit of a Norwegian supporter - no idea why but I think it stems from childhood when Norway seemed to be good at all winter sports...or maybe from adolescence when they seemed to have the foxiest laydeez

After the tragedy in the Luge, I was not sure that I wanted to watch any Olympics at all. Today I started to watch the skating. I watched some of the reaction and interviews regarding the Luge, and thought it was handled sensitively.

Even Todd Lodwick, who was dragged out of retirement and came in 4th is too young for me

Anyway, I was admiring their athletic prowess, though any number of them might also wear a crisp packet quite nicely now you mention it
