I say, Quentin - put down that copy of Mammoth Hunters' Weekly and listen. I've just had a rare thought: wouldn't it be a total hoot if when we've had enough of this living in caves lark we destroyed all our most advanced technological and cultural artefacts, books and the like and rustled up a few cave paintings to leave behind? I guarantee in a few thousand years' time, someone on a cycling forum will start a thread assuming that we were so dense, we didn't even have proper linguistic capabilities!
