Right.
I here-and-now consider the gauntlet thrown, so here is my input to this thread.
As some of you may know, I work for a well-known maker of spacecraft and satellites, which naturally end up getting chucked in the general direction of up by a wide variety of rockety things.
And so it came to pass that I was in our canteen at work, watching a number of talking heads wittering on about the launch of
Swarm. It was a fairly lengthy presentation, as may be seen thusly :-
And if you wish to sit through all 2:21:30 then you're a braver person than I.
And possessed of a substantially lower boredom threshold.
Anyhow.
The actual launch was shown in this video.
I'll fill in the details by saying that it was a foggy day at the launch site in
Pletesk, so what you'll see is that at 59 seconds in, the launcher fires up, the stack takes off, and five seconds later it disappears into the murk.
And that's it. That's all we saw.
