Thanks for organising the ride Adam. Sorry I had to bail early. I started to feel rough when we went out into the lanes after Gravesend and I think the chicken sandwich in Sittingbourne was probably a mistake! After I left you I made it to Bearsted near Maidstone where I got a train. I left the chicken sandwich by the road somewhere near Chilham. Yuk!

One day I really will finish one of your rides. Hope the breakfast was good!

Cheers.

You and chicken, Allegaert and Turkey, makes for aviary interesting day on Cyclechat! GWS Ross. Oh, and there's a chill ham thrown in (up?) for good measure! Now you have left the group I suppose they'll be having 'huitabix' for breakfast.

In the end, we had breakfast at Dickens Corner cafe in the town centre. And we got 2 free beakfasts as well.

Apart from Ross feeling unwell, everything went well with no mishaps. I'll upload photos once I've a chance to go through them - and yes, people have been caught asleep.

... and no visits from the fairy, or other mechanicals.

I did a smidgen over 110 miles overall, I'll dig out the GPX track shortly.

A fine ride Adam, I've felt more knackered after 60 miles of FNRttC, so the hilly bits didn't impact me much, luckily. Well done on organising the optimal mid-summer night ride weather as well. ^_^

I am a little tired however, for some odd reason, so at some point I'm going to have to have a lie down, but I'm putting that off for as long as possible.

Thanks for another great ride Adam. I got as far as St Margaret at Cliffe and stopped several times above the cliffs to admire the views, and found it very easy to pass 3 hours until my train. Home again now and off for a power-nap, but here are a couple of pics to keep the memories alive

Thanks Adam for a great ride, and everyone else for making it so.

Sorry to hear about your sandwich Ross. I had the opposite experience - I was feeling a bit out of sorts when we got to Asda, but it was nothing that a stupendous meal of a skanky cheese and pickle sandwich and a pork pie wouldn't fix. I needed that fortification as we were about to enter the mighty Kentish Alps, which we managed to conquer without supplementary oxygen.

The route is here

I've now had a kip, and I'm ready for a hard day of lounging around and maybe napping a bit now.

It was a great ride up until we reached Dover then my knees started aching on the ups, pretty warm night until the 3am chills

I've got a load of pics (most of the night ones look like sparklers so i've skipped those), what we see when the sun rises is different
to what the camera captures,

Thanks Adam, pleasure riding with you guys (almost my knees )

Great photos, tc1. I'd like quite a few of them if I had a yahoo login.
Another fab night out on another of Adam's Amazing (ly hilly) Adventures.
Almost 1400mts of climbing recorded for the night - like tc1, the knees were seriously creaking by the time we got to the BoB memorial at Capel-Le-Ferne.
Still, it's fun descending to Dover from there.
Thank you, Adam for the route, and everyone else.
107 miles for me for the day, bath time, catch up on a couple of IT Crowd repeats, quick assemblage of music for Tuesday's radio show and zonk. Regeneration sequence required.
