Bit more progress today. Battery box & silencer installed and all cables made and fitted.

Well the Old Boys group from the school I used to go to
back when T-Rex was wandering the plains
Have arranged another "get together"
this time at our old school

and this time "partners" are invited

so SWMBO is coming along

and it includes a tour of the school

I just hope she doesn;t laugh too much
lets just say that we went to slightly different types of schools!

My old school is in the process of being demolished.
Despite the best attempts of some whilst I was there, it remained standing long after I'd left. No more Ackley Bridge.

To be fair ours tried to fall down while we were actually there
"K Block" had to be partially abandoned when they found the roof was made of High Alumina cement
which meant naff all to me when I was at school but made lectures on Properties of Materials very interesting in University when we were doing cement and concrete and that sort of stuff!

When I went back as a trainee teacher - it was just a single day thing - the staff that remembered me all said that it did occur to them at the time that it was deemed too dangerous for pupils to be on the top floor of the building

but the staff room was on the same floor and was never moved!!

not that the by election was here - it was over the water in Runcorn but the cameras are over here!!!
