Just paid my water bill for 6 months. £91.60.

My water bill has gone up from £18 per month to £30. My usage is more or less the same as last year. My water company is Affinity water. But, Thames Waster deal with the sewage part of the bill, which accounts for most of the rise.

I see the government are reconsidering the winter fuel payment. Amazing what a few local elections can do.

And they seem to think that people forget..

Went out to mow the back lawn but noticed that the planters have p[weeds in that are bigger than the plants the we paid for!!

so I weeded them

if I was being grumpy I MIGHT point out that the planters are there because SWMBO wanted somewhere where she could grow some nice flowering plants
and it was agreed that she would look after them and all that

but I'm not so I won;t

One of my ex colleagues does art work. This is one she’s just done of her own dog. I think she’s one of the most talented local artists I’ve seen. You feel like you could actually stroke the dog the way she has captured the texture.

Grass cut or should that be buttercups cut as it seemed like 50% were said flowers.
Binned the ride in favour of a weights session then off to the tip.

Even better it's fish curry for dinner. Yum!

Well we sat, waiting for a train at Williton, which didn't arrive. Apparently a lorry had hit the bridge at Sampford Brett and they were waiting for a bridge inspection before the train was allowed to proceed. We jumped back in the car and went down to Watchet for the market and lunch, instead of going to Minehead as planned.
Will probably go to Minehead tomorrow instead.
