Morning all :hello:

Will have another attempt at going to Minehead on the train today. Yesterday's attempt was thwarted by a lorry bridge strike that caused huge delays for the trains.
Just ordered a new silencer for my Bantam. I'm chasing a 'low power up hills' problem. Will solve it, eventually. Already done ignition timing and carb jetting.

Morning folks :okay: have been enjoying the sunny weather and doing my usual rides over the hills, one thing that has livened it up...is i get dive bombed by a buzzard! It [they] must have a nest in some pine trees and each time i ride by im seen off as they swoop inches of my noggin, yesterday i saw its raptor shadow on the road before it attacked.

Question! bottle cage mount holes- are they always the same distance apart? i was looking at some retro cages but didnt know if they would fit.

Ooh! got my lovely Ortlieb back roller plus CR panniers through the post in chilli red the best colour! :okay:

Get lots of buzzards around here although I tend to see them more in autumn sitting on the telegraph poles. The other day I cycled past a field where farmer was harvesting silage and a lot of red kites were around the circling field to catch any mice etc revealed. I stopped to take a few photos but inevitably they didn't come close enough for a good shot.

Hint : one is above hedge between telegraph wires.

My previous neighbour used to cycle without a helmet and he got swooped on one day and it made contact. He got scraped on his head/neck with the talons!

Not sure about the bottle cages fitting, but I would imagine the mounting holes have been the same on bikes for a long time so I would think you would be ok.

It’s lovely again here now. Blue sky and sun with a pleasant breeze. A walk/jog has been done and a bath had. Just about to go and get my porridge now.
