Good morning all.
Well things "might" be happening !!!
A nurse has just been to tell me I mustn't eat or drink anything (even water) as I "might" be going for my MRI scan.
As that's a 1st I will take it as a positive.

BTW a couple of days ago a nurse told me I could eat or drink as normal.
Google to the rescue......yes, you can eat and drink as normal.......unless the scan is abdominal, which mine is.

One somewhat trivial but annoying thing about this time of year is the swifts are now around in numbers which is great to see. I love watching them swoop and dive for insects on the wing.
However, normal status here is I leave the garage door open during the day as I'm regularly in and out doing stuff or when out riding I leave open. We live in a very quiet area so no issue of security etc (that's blown it now).

Anyway, we have a big double door detatched garage and the swifts are flying in there all the time so I've had to keep doors closed. In the past they have nested in the rafters there, laid eggs and of course produced chicks. The result of which is a horrendous mess of bird poo all over my bikes, other sports gear and mower etc.
Its shame as I loved seeing how the chicks developed but too much hassle.

Ist world problems eh.

As the Swifts know your garage, could you put up some swift boxes on the outside of the garage and,or your house?

Talk about left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.
A nurse has just been in to say she has been told i can eat and drink as normal.
So, 2 days ago I can, 6 this morning I can't, now I can.
Apparently I am scheduled for 1500 if all goes well.
Maybe to relax your innards, you'd not eaten in a while before being taken in. Nothing unusual about not eating anything on the morning of the scan.

Don't be put off by the noise in the scanner, just relax. Maybe fall asleep like I did once. They'd to wake me because the snoring was louder than the machine.

They are noisy things - strange noises too, almost like some heavy rock band warming up.
