No. I think Francs has closed down. This one is called Chez Jules. Never been before but it has good reviews and been recommended by some I know who has been.

Once I was lost but now I'm found............it's about four, possibly five, years since I last made Damson Gin. For most of those 4/5 years I haven't been able to find said gin.
This evening I was ferreting about in the back of our Welsh dresser. Lo! There in a dark corner nestled not one but two bottles of dark, deep ruby red liquid. Immediately I knew it.
I have tasted a thimble full. WOW! Absolutely WOW!!!!!
The odd thing is I don't remember bottling it. I've been looking out for Kilner jars containing gin and damsons.

Well it’s been a busy day for me for once and the weather was hot and dry all day too.
Been shopping.
Mowed the front lawn.
Had four new tyres put on the car and booked it in to have the tracking checked next week (their m/c was broken).
Taken my daughter to work after she had spent the morning job hunting .
Booked my boat in to have a minor repair and be tidied up before I sell it .
Had a 40 minute cycle .
Cleaned the bbq.
Picked the last of our strawberries from out of the garden ( it’s been a terrific year for them ) .
Watered any plants in the garden that needed it.
Cooked the tea.
Think I’ve done all my jobs for the week lol.😜 Probably a good job as it’s supposed to get get really warm again by the weekend. 😀
Much quieter day planned for tomorrow .
Take my daughter to work again so she has more time for job hunting
Go for a chest scan ( fingers crossed ) .
Go sailing in the evening.
Night night all .

Good morning. First! That hasn't happened in a while. It's grey, damp and forecast like this for the day. The only thing on today is travelling. We're heading up to Oban to stay with a friend for a few days. We haven't got together for two years so I'm looking forward to this. The forecast for Oban is grim. 🙁

A grey start to the day here, but quite warm.
All the normal things to do, with a bike ride later on.
I am going to change the Chainrings on my old Galaxy 10 speed touring bike. They are 52/42, the original sizings, how we used to tour on those? I have a 48/38 to put on it. I need lower gearing these days.
