Much local hilarity.

One of the new build streets near me is called Copper Beech Crescent.

New street signs have appeared with Beech spelled Beach.

They had one job..,

1968 BSA 250 Barracuda.
Picking it up tomorrow.
Well......it'll give me something to tinker with.

People where my wife used to live are really letting the area down

There is a small road near the hospital called COOK STREET

for many many years "they" always whited out part fo the second O to make it - well you can guess
all it takes is a bit of tippex

but for months now it as been cleaned up and pristine with no tippex

Honestly - the yooff of today!!!

Well - we went to the Price Parade to watch the grandson no 2

When they wandered out onto the play area where it was happening he wanted to not be seen but we could telling he was lookign for us

and when he came near with his friends he did a shy little wave - just his hand down at waits level

but as soon as he saw that they had let the parents (etc) in he came over and said hello - very quickly - and gave me his water bottle to hold

They basically just wandered around a perimeter track at random - but all in teh same direction - holding posters they had made

It was similar to a normal Primary school - like the one I worked in - but less controlled and with more adults keeping an eye on them
The grandson is one of the more independent ones and so gets a lot of freedom to do what he wants within pre-defined limits - in this case walk around the track

He had a great time - which is the main thing
and his poster was quite impressive for him!!

There is only one police car there now, but I have not seen a body come out.
If the door has been removered a police officer will have to stay in the flat is secure again.

Another positive in retirement, decorating.

Although I’m a reasonably competent decorator, I absolutely detest it.

I used to love decorating, now I hate it.
I would rather pay a professional to do it.

I am OK - until it gets to painting a straight line
my hands have always shaken a bit and however straight I try to make it I always look back and find bits where I have gone outside the line

so if a wall and ceiling are different colours then bits of the last one painted will be on the other

When I first read that I thought you meant chippy as in a mobile chip shop. I thought 'that's odd'.

Woke way too early so will go back for an hour at some time.
Very little to do today.

Good morning, I was lying in bed and realised that I wasn't going back to sleep so I'm now sitting in the lounge watching the breeze move the tops of the trees. Delighted with the condition of the bike I collected yesterday, it's in as new condition. I've ordered a discretely sized transfer with granddaughters name to apply to the frame, and Mrs Tkk reckons the tires, although in new condition might be a bit knobbly so will look for some more suitable ones. Nearly time for coffee, I'd have made one already but our Bean to Cup machine can get a bit noisy when the grinder kicks in and I don't want to disturb Mrs Tkk.
