Mine has 2 paddles at the side of the steering wheel so I can change gear up and down as well as just letting "teh system" decide what gear to be in
If I want I can even put in the S mode where I use the padels and it become like semi auto
Having said which the manual say it is not automatic but CVT - continuors Variable Transmission
so it does have actual gears just a - err - something else
presumably like an old Daf
anyway - it can be rather clunky at times.
normally it is much easier but at times it can be indecisive about which gear to choose
and sometimes even changes up the down then up again - while my foot is not moving on the accelerator
anyway - much easier to drive
but if I had to chaneg tomorrow I would go back to manual
I would always choose auto.
Not sure about those adaptive cruise control gizmos as I'm not sure I would want the car deciding distances for me.
