Its been a month since I retired. For the first 2 weeks it was like being on holiday. Laying in a bed until 10am is foreign to me, especially when I am used to getting up at 4.30am. The problem was that nobody tells you how to retire.

So I gave myself and talking to and now get up at 6 - 6.30 and take the Brompton out for an hour before breakfast. Rain or shine.

In the afternoon we go for a 8km walk to places we have not been before. I set myself and couple of tasks a day. Mostly in the garden.

So as an aprentice retiree. I think we are going in the right direction. But it still is quite odd.

Isn't it amazing how far a glass can shatter when dropping it off a shelf.... Including the bit I extracted from my hand 🩸🩸🩸⛑️🩸🩸🩸

Morning and uncanny as similar happened this morning.
Lying in bed earlier and heard the unmistakable sound of a glass smashing, the window to ensuite was open but blind was closed. Wife had left a glass on ledge in front, wind blew blind, hit glass and the rest is as they say history. Fragments of glass everywhere so just cleaned it all up and hoovered everywhere. Fortunately though no cuts to myself.
After all that excitement(cats scattered but more due to me using hoover), it was feed said cats, tea for wife and coffee for me.
Onwards to the day now.

Started young, and still going.
Location
Barnet,
Good morning all.
Another sunny day ahead with temperatures around 32⁰ forecast.
Sainsbury's are delivering the weekly goodies between 9 and 10 of the AM clock.
I might have to give the grass a quick cut, it's throwing up spiky seed heads everywhere.
I might go out early for a sin on the bike before it gets too warm.
Enjoy your day everyone.
