Walked to Poole railway station via Holes Bay, collected tickets from machine at the station then caught the bus to Broadstone just in time to join our Tuesday walking group. Salad fol lunch followed by a prolonged nap on the sofa. We have a rug in the lounge that seems to auto generate detritus so the vacuum cleaner will be coming out soon.

We are having the sort of weather that @Mo1959 would enjoy: wet and windy.
No good for going for a ride though but it should be dry tomorrow.

Out of interest do you usually buy train tickets before catching a bus and going for a walk? Is it a hobby? You collect train tickets?

Train tickets booked online and had to be collected from machine at railway station. Nice morning for a walk, time constrained hence bus to get to the walking group on time.

I have now learned how to access the Internet on my Ipad. Who would have thought that it is the compass icon

I know we needed the rain, but ye gods, how do i turn it off now...
I bet Mo knew the iPad question. You should have asked her!

Weren't you doing your Southern California impersonation a little over a week ago?

Good morning. It's grey and damp and a touch breezy. We have put away the quilts and gone back to sheets and a blanket. I woke up cold at 3.00am donned a jumper and turned on the blanket. Ridiculous!

Heading out on a local gravel ride today taking in famous old Lancashire towns like Blackburn, Accrington, Ramsbottom, Bury, Bolton and, of course, Chorley(!). After the last 24 hours I think it will be wet, muddy and slippery. I must drop my tyre pressures and find my arse saver. We're meeting at my house as it's on the canal. Plenty of time then for me to arse about or get useful stuff done. I'll finish my coffee and then attempt to to be useful.....................I may be back.:whistle:
