Ooh, my new laptop being delivered today.

One of the advantages of being a mature student with a disability is they throw free kit at you. I shall make good use of it.

but not actually raining at the moment

not much on today SWMBO has to go to Prescot this afternoon so I will have to drive her

and we have something to pick up from the pharmacy in ASDA after that

finally got round to cutting the back lawn yesterday - the front always grows slower
but the bits at the back where the builders lobbed some seed at it are much much better than the old stuff greener and thicker
but it does grow much faster!!

also yanked some plants out of the planters than I am pretty sure I didn;t plant
so I think they were weeds

some were nettles so they needed to go before the grand kids come round next

I seem to have educated my youngest Grandson slightly wrongly

When we went for a walk through some woods I showed him what a nettle looks like and how it would sting him if he touched it
and how you can push them aside with a stick or something

but now - instead of avoiding them or pushing them aside
he looks for a stick to hit them with

not exactly the message I was aiming for!


good job all that training and experience as a teacher wasn;t wasted!

Just finished reading Will Fotheringham's article on Mt Ventoux in the Guardian. An interesting read, I liked the " Brotherhood of Ventoux Nutters " , people who have climbed Ventoux from all three approaches in a single day 😮

A friend did all 3 over 5 days which I thought was impressive.

But the BVN'S are a whole different level!

God, I know I’m like a broken record, but I hate this humid weather. I just walked up to the Co-op for a few things and breaking out in a sweaty mess just doing that. I can’t even imagine running or cycling at the moment.

I've just been up to the co-op too, needed milk and bananas, but I didn't get all sweaty as it is cloudy and 22c here.

The rain has defeated me in my attempt to get my washing dry. Its not in the tumble dryer.i hate having to use it. Still quite humid here though

Jeez, this weather is making me so grumpy! Next door are getting work done and there’s a stone cutter been working all morning. It must be the most irritating noise there is.

Good morning. Wet. Wet. Wet............good name for a band 🤔

Currently we have a sleeping 7 month old and a tired, grumpy and generally nackered 4½ year old. Nana has persuaded her to sit quietly with a biscuit and drink with some telly.

I mean while am dealing with a work of the devil. #2SP is coming to stay for four days 😲😲😲 on Friday. I have to get a child gate fitted.........so far I have failed.
