Another walk done so that’s just over 13.5 miles today. Might make up for the carrot cake I scoffed yesterday!

Pleasant day, so far, on the Island of Thanet.. 16 mile ride along the Coastal Path to Birchington & back, followed by a walk on the beach with Bonnie the Bischon & Teddy the bonkers Cockerpoo.

To my eternal shame I were, somewhat by accident, born on Thanet. Out on the Manston road (in a house, not on the road), not far from the airport.

That makes me the only Scottish Man of Kent alive!

That's weird.. I was born on the top of Shooters Hill and could of seen Kent if they'd but held me up and pointed me to the East!

Just seen a shot of 10 Downing Street

they are getting readt to welcome the England Ladies team after their win

They have a string of England flags along teh railings
and 2 England flags hung in the windows

It looks like a terraced counsel house !!!

My wife reckons the decos were designed for ANgela Rayner - cos that is how it would be done "down where she was dragged up"

EDIT - not political - just a comment about the flags - not the Deputy PM

Started young, and still going.

Barnet,
It was once a terraced street. What you see now is just a façade. It's linked into Whitehall around the back.

As a kid in the 60's you used to be able to walk up Downing Street and through the alleyway at the end into the parade ground.
Somewhere there is a photograph of a very young me standing on the doorstep of No. 10 next to the Constable on duty.
