My mother had all her teeth removed. It was free up until age 21 (I think) but then you had to pay for dentistry so it was "a thing" to save money in the future. However my dad still had all his teeth into his 40s.

My understanding was that dentistry was free at the inception of the NHS (1948), but, that charges were introduced at some stage (1952, according to Google/Wiki). I was only 5yo in 1952, so, no personal experience that I remember. 😂

Well the 11:00 weather warning never came as we have sunshine and 22c
My grill on the stove the self igniter stopped working the other day, had to use a mirror to have a look and the wire had broken
off the spade connecter, it was 2.8mm wide, never seen one that small, found the same on ebay.
They came today, lucky for me the wire was quite long when pulled so it was easy to reattach the connecter, but putting the spade
connecter on the igniter was a pain, I had to use a mirror again and spent quite sometime getting back on, but I won in the end

I managed to wake myself up earlier on and got my Aldi dash in.......it was surprisingly quiet considering it was 10.30.
I was then 'in the mood' so went on to Homebase so the birds are well fed.
Next was the post office for some bits. I get cash from there so as to avoid a 'hole in the wall'
I also got my lunchtime pub visit it.

No one understands just how busy I get

welsh dragon

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I have been working.... No. Stop. I know you might find that hard to belive.

I have been shovelling gravel what I ordered I to the holes that we have In the drive. It was getting to the stage where there were more holes than drive.

I am pooped now.

qu'est - ce que c'est. What is this cash you talk of?

I did think of that when I posted.
It can be useful if you haven't got round to nicking an up to date credit card.

We’ve had a couple of loose tiles in the kitchen for a while and now one has cracked. Luckily I had two spares in the garage.

Managed to get them up and revealed the Roman pavement underneath!

Good friend of mine is a builder so he lent me everything to do the job including these little clamps which hold the tiles level

I’ll grout them in the morning and then job done!
