Someone I used to know had a neighbour who had an Austin Allegro that was about 10 years old but had only done about 10,000 miles in all and he kept it in immaculate condition

But he was worried about it going wrong
so they traded it in for a younger one

which was 5 years old but had done more like 15,000 a year
and had been kept in a more normal manner

the dealer must have been laughing all the way to the bank on that one - his old car could have been sold to a collector

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Good morning. Grey and dull outside. Awake since 2.30 again. I was very tired, again, last night and in bed and asleep by 9.15. I've had enough sleep but this is playing havoc with my sleep pattern. It needs some thought.

I had planned a morning on the allotment but I don't really feel up for that. Instead I'll get all the chores done and the allotment tomorrow. It's a cards group this afternoon. I've yet to decide if I fancy bridge or canasta today. I think Mrs P will expect me to "think about tea" - in our house this is code for you're cooking tonight.:laugh:

You better be quick on your allotments before Rayner sells it off for housing

Wandered round for a few bits of shopping and then nipped in to the garage I use to book my car MOT. I’ll just get an oil and filter change when it’s in. That should do it for all the miles I do.
