Been to the pub......they do a really nice bowl of chips.
Nipped to Aldi while I was out, save going tomorrow.
Also nipped to the Spa for milk**and tv magazine.
**they sell that Cravendale milk which I am partial to. They had it on offer at 2x 2 Ltrs for £3,50.
Done my dishes.
Can chill out now.
BTW tea will be curry and rice.

Purely out of interest, what do you mean by "low mileage"?
I know that low mileage for diesel is different to low mileage petrol but beyond that it gets hazy for me.

General condition and full service history is more important than mileage.
I bought my Honda 6.5 years ago with 100K on the clock.
The Freelander I went to look at had 76K on it but had already been sold unfortunately.

My gas engineer is a young female

When I was first teaching people it was at an FE college in North Wales - Rhyl actually

I was teaching IT to a bunch of adults that were training to be gas engineers
Yes - I know - but the college got a grant for it

anyway
one of the adults was a young woman
the proper gas teacher reckoned she would be able to get a job easily - the big companies were always after women who were fully qualified
she was not so sure - she was short and just didn;t have the strength to lift a boiler
but apparently they are never supposed to do it alone anyway

but whatever

We went to a funeral yesterday and then on to the pub with others. I sat with some friends one of whom returned from the var muttering about this being an expensive pub. I thought it a touch inappropriate to remark under the circumstances.

I went to the bar returning with a J2O and lemonade and lime.

"How much was that?" asked our friend.
"£4.45"

He had been charged £7.45 for a lemonade and lime. No wonder he thought it expensive!!!! 🤣

I heard from a friend today who travelled on business with a colleague to the US. Both are UK born, British passports and work for a US company in the UK. On arrival, yesterday, his colleague was detained by ICE for 6 hours before being deported with no reason given.

He believes this happened because while a minor his parents took him to Pakistan.

One wonders what colour their skin is and whether this might have made a difference?

My son has been detained by immigration officials the last two times he has been to the USofA.
His passport, and phone was taken, the first time for nearly 5 hours, the second for 4 hours.
No explanation was given when the items were returned and he was allowed entry.
