Just checked the local paper

another local restaurant has got a ZERO rating on the food hygiene ratings

Weird thing is that I have been there a few times and it seemed fine - just a nice Indian place with good food
it got a lowish rating a year or so ago so I was avoiding it
expecting it would have a re-inspection in a few months and get a 4 or 5

I was wondering why it was taking so long to sort itself out

and now they have clearly gone back to check and foudn ti was much worse

so that's crossed off the list!!!

What channel is this programme on?

Seems to be on Paramount plus??

I see our rather insipid leader now refers to us as "everyday people" and not "working people".

Not sure which I prefer but I must now be "everyday" as I certainly don't work!

With most politicians lifestyles I doubt if they even know what life as an everyday person feels like!

I have risen!

Im late up as Mrs D and I have been watching 1923. Its good. I mean really good, and last night we binge watched the last 5 episodes of series 2 and didn't get our heads down until 0300hrs.

Helen Mirren was brilliant in it. One minute she's the 80 year old matriarch, the loving head of the family. The next shes shooting a bad dude in the face with a shotgun. Timothy Dalton slimy beyond belief as the chief bad guy.

If you like a thumping good story with sex and violence very liverally spattered throughout then I can thoroughly recommend it. Mo would like Brandon Sklenar ;)

Amazing how views can be so polarised.

We enjoyed it until near the end when the directors simply lost their way.

I'd wager that we are probably some of the least prudish people on this site so sex scenes don't bother us at all.

But the prostitute belting the living daylights out of another prostitute for a guy's pleasure had no bearing on the storyline whatsoever apart from reinforcing that the guy was a bit of a *astard. We thought it was an immature & gratuitous scene.

And whilst the abused First Nations storyline was part of the overall theme of the series a totally new and unrelated FN family was introduced right near the end of the season, for what reason we could not figure out - we were utterly mystified as to why.

Started great ended poor as it ran out of steam.
