Only been once
a cruise from Vancouver up the Alaskan coast on a cruise ship

amazing cruise and the views were just unbelievable

but we had to "enter the USA" because the ship stopped off at US ports

we were warned it could take a long time

we were sitting in a huge warehouse on very basic chairs for about 5 hours

and the immigration official seemed to think we should be shot because I had not separated 2 parts of a form judging by his attitude

we will not be going back unless there is a damn good reason
there are a couple of bucket list things that we would like to do - such as an autumn trip following the changing of the leaves in Vermont (or wherever it is)

but there are too many other bucket list things we want to do in countries that are not so aggressive to visitors

In my "work days" I passed through USA en-route to somewhere else, several times. Also, visited three times, Florida, Texas, Milwaukee. One of my grandsons was actually born there. I always thought it (USA) a very interesting place, with people who were much more polite than I imagined they would be (based on Hollywood Movies), but, even all those years ago, Border Force/Immigration were a separate breed. Not a place I would want to live "permanently".

Unlike the TV licence its worth every penny.

I think it is also on Netflix or Prime, not sure which one.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
We have been busy. Once the fire was cleaned, an the firebricks replaced, we decided to empty the small pond at the front of the house. It was very stinky and smelly. It hadn't been cleaned properly for about 20 years

There aren't any fish in it, we took them out and put them in the big pond.

I am now pooped
