:hello: Afternoon, just had my results back for my blood test, sugar up a little,
but iron down again, so back on the tablets and black 💩
I'll start on one tablet 200mg to see how I go.
Very cloudy again here and none too warm at 19c.

School holidays will soon be over and we'll have the world back all to ourselves again.

Downside is the twits will be driving their brats 6 yards to school so the currently eerily quiet roads will be heaving again.

Yep, locally the parents claim the roads aren't safe for the kids to walk to school - but they are the ones making it unsafe!

We walked to school all year round - here I am in 1963

Had an appointment via Age COnern to go and help a bloke get the NHS app working on his phone

it is a thing they offer - they call me a "Digital Champion" but I really wish they wouldn't !!!

anyway - got him sorted out - and showed him what it can do and all that

then some otehr men started to arrive as part of their "Men's Group" that meet up once a week for a chat

first bloke to arrive apparently used to play for Leeds United

he was offered a proper full time contract but he was getting paid more to work in the factory and needed the money

he played in goal and one day he was playing and Peter Lorimer came up to take penalty
he had done his research and knew Lorimer always went left
and this was an important one so he reckoned he would swap

so he went right and GOT IT - right on the line

then ended up in the back of the net with the ball

I had heard Lorimer was known to hit the ball damn hard!!!

(not exactly sure of the authenticity of this - but that is what he said!!)

Ahhh. Good old duffle coat. Loved mine.

Don't think I ever had one, not sure why.
I left school 1962......were they still popular then ?

Got my CRV back with a full MOT, so that's taken the heat off for a while. :okay:
Guy who did the welding reckons it'll be good for next year as well - we'll see.
