MR WD's lawnmower has died. To be fair it is 20 years old so we have has our moneys worth. We won't bother to buy a new one until next spring now. It isn't worth it as the summer I'd nearly over and it would be left unused all winter.

Nowadays I find that the lawn seems to keep growing a bit over winter

never used to in the old days but these days I tend to have to mow it a couple of times over winter whenever it si dry enough

Good morning. It's dark outside. The forecast is sun but with a 70/80% chance of rain around lunchtime. This is a bummer as #1SP is here and she wants Granddad to take her to the park for a picnic. Nana says no, Granddad says we'll take a chance on it..........soggy sarnies?

I woke at 2.30 😲 The small one is here on a sleepover, she'll be bouncing about 7.00 so I badly need another couple of hours. Tea and biccies are on hand.

A good ride yesterday, 62 miles and 4400 feet through the glorious Ribble Valley. I had forgotten how good the riding is over there. So much better than yet another ride to the coast. I will be back soon.

The rain has just started to pour down. I left my trainers outside! 😢
