RIght - 1st of month so time to change the water filter

and a good time of year - getting close to the time when I am actually retired rather than not working when I wouldn;t have been working anyway

Bloomin' kids and families will get off the paths during the day as school start soon



** of course teachers work very hard during the holidays (yes they really do) it is just different working whenever you want during the day and doing the bits you feel like doing today
rather than having to adhere to a very strict timetable for the whole day and dress properly and maintain a proper attitude and awareness and stuff

anyway - weather forcast says it will rain today - front is bone dry but back if wet
so I have no clue what happened over night but it was weird


Oh - and I didn;t sleep much after 6ish this morning
but that did mean I heard the RAF Typhoon leaving from Liverpool airport where it had parked overnight after the SOuthport air show

It was either that or Ryan Air have seriously upgraded their planes!!!

Summer so far has been pretty good, hot and sunny as summer should be, so let's hope we also get a proper winter with cold weather and freezing temperatures, as winters should be. It will get rid of all those nasty bugs we like flu and Covid.
I like proper seasons.

Had a wander up to the Co-op for some shopping. Just 2 bags full and £43! Prices just keep going up don't they. Mind you, I had a couple of packs of the nice hot smoked Salmon I like which are £5.75 each so it doesn't take long to mount up. Even pet food is getting extortionate. She likes Sheba fine flakes at the moment and they are nearly £6 a box too.

I'd say this summer been fantastic, pretty much dry, warm/hot sunny weather since April. Long may it continue, I'd take it every year.

It is a good thing you receive your state pension now to make up for it.

I find the co-op very expensive compared with Sainburys.
