Got my ride in, a really enjoyable 34miles in the sunshine but holy moly it was windy. I went from the house straight into a 25mph headwind which was brutal. Fortunately route I took kept me out of the worst of it for most of the ride but the initial section was horrific.

Pain in the neck day

I was trying to clean the top bits of the air fryer when my wife said I should be sorting out her new laptop
which means migrating it from her old one

which seesm simple - but Microsoft have YET AGAIN conspired to make it as un-necessarily difficult as possible

I checked ou thow to change the useid it uses on mine
turns out hers is different - in spite of being on the same version

then hers is in S mode - which means Firefox doesn;t install properly so I couldn;t transfer all the bookmarks
getting it out of S mode was a right pain

and a lot of her games would not install

then coying all the desktop over somehow also copied over half of mine - which is weird as that is a different computer!
then it turns out that Argos said that the new laptop included Office365 free for a year - turns out that in the small print you have to spend an extra £40 to that
so I had to de-install it - which took a while
then got a full proper version of Microshaft Orifice for £10 off Groupon instead

eventually I think it is sorted

I had forgotten how much of a pain WIndows can be when you try to do something beyond the basic

In the old days I have set up main systems with 5000 users on them in less time!!!

and I used to do this professionally!!!
