The sky is clear, the sun is shining, there's a light breeze.............................the forecast is 80% chance of heavy showers by 12.00...............so of course we're heading out on our bikes. It's a bit chilly so the autumn jersey and gilet are laid out. Then there's the question of leg warmers. I'm undecided. We have a lovely route out to the
Ribble Valley. We've forsaken the club ride. A dreadful route is on offer, they get worse by the week. Not a patch on when someone else used to do it! 🤔🤔
Apologies for a lot of AWOL this week. It's been hectic. A treatment day for Mrs P yesterday. Instead of running around like a whirling dervish (can I say that - my mother used to?) doing stuff I said, sod it!! I did some things for me that I've tried to get done for weeks. Mainly this involved my gravel bike. Brushed off all the accumulated dust, deep soapy wash, thorough rinse, and repeat, leather off to dry her and avoid streaks, then stand in a sunny breezy spot for extra drying, buff up. Being titanium she loves a rub down with a little chrome polish and more buffing. Chain cleaned, new wax applied. She gave me a great big 😃😃😃
