Very wet weather at the moment with a mixed bag in store.
A good sports day on the box with the world athletics plus the Liverpool-Everton Derby game......spoiled for choice.

Good morning. Bright, sunny and warm darn surf. The forecast is good till around 4.00pm when we are promised heavy showers. I'm sure Mrs P will have today's cultural excursions to account for this.

I'm "enjoying" a Travelodge coffee in a quiet corner of their cafe. Top husbanding as @ebikeerwidnes put it. Mrs P is still sleeping. I suppose I could wander round the corner to Pret but it will be expensive and might involve very sticky calorie laden buns. I'm rather pleased I've managed to control the calorie intake so far.

I think we're going to the Courtauld Gallery this morning. This is also top husbanding, though our marriage has reached the stage when if I'm bored I'm allowed to find a comfy chair! 🤣 Old Masters isn't really my thing. Modern art, impressionists and so on I can get into but not the classical stuff. Frameless yesterday was for me.

I am also missing Rovers at home. This is extreme top husbanding.

Salut. This is our last day of summer so make the most of it.
Tomorrow, autumn will begin With rainy days, storms and shorter days.
At least, the trees will give us beautiful foliage and nature will prepare to slow down and go into hibernation in readiness for a cold and snowy winter.

A good sports day on the box with the world athletics plus the Liverpool-Everton Derby game......spoiled for choice.

I will watch the athletics. I see my footie team played last night and got another win. Hopefully they'll keep this up and be back up in the Premier League next season.

As previously reported I'm sat in a Travelodge cafe with rather average coffee. I'm slightly hungry and thinking about breakfast. I can see sausages, bacon, beans, hash browns, toast, tomato, mushrooms and scrambled eggs........

I've just realised I can't smell these from 10 feet.........I think we will go somewhere else for breakfast.

That's a rather weird, disturbing? realisation. Anyway the place is filling up and I suspect the staff would appreciate it if I vacated my table. I'll take Mrs P a coffee.......

I am a man and I can do 5 or 6 tasks at once with no problem

Travelodge breakfasts aren't the best, but they are normally included in the room rate.
