Horns of a dilemna here.. Some shares I hold have gone ££lots££☝️ over the last week.
Div payday is the middle of next week.
Risk selling now or wait for the dividend then see what the price is.....
Decisions decisions 🤔
My guess is a good dividend is anticipated and that has helped, to an extent, to raise the price.

Without knowing how much is involved I think I might cash out with the potential to buy back at a lower price after the dividend is paid.

Never trust a Haynes manual!
Just spent over an hour assembling a fork leg. Every time I tightened the seal holder, the forks locked up. Check and double check the schematic - yes, everything going back in the correct order.
After a bit of head scratching I figured out that the cup shaped spacer between the oil seal and the top bush was the wrong way around in the diagram and distorting the oil seal.
Turned it around and tightened everything up and.........it all works as it should. :okay:

Wobbly start to the day, psychologically.

At hospital yesterday for 'routine' biopsy and one of the lovely ladies in the 'regulars' group (albeit different condition to mine) was given the awful news that there was nothing more they could do for her. Very, very sad.

This, despite all the very positive feedback I have had re my treatment thus far, rattled me to my core.

Pep talk from Mrs SD this morning helped a lot, as did sessions on the treadmill & gym.

I feel fine now.

A nice walk around Aldenham Reservoir either Millie.
The water level is still quite low though.
There were lots of geese and cormorants there.

Stopped at Fold farm for an ice cream and bought a dozen eggs on the way home. Now just the grass to cut.

Our solutions are too many to put on this forum so anyone wanting a full list please pm me

I’ve often found this sort of discussion often comes up with three kinds of answers.
1) impractical
2) illegal
3 ) disgusting 😀.

Just wondering which categories your collective answers were in ? 😂😀

They've shot up masses since ex-div date.. I'll see what happens before close of market tomorrow..

An exhausting morning in the loft with the new rolls of insulation. Clambering over joists and unrolling / cutting the new insulation then poking it into hard to reach corners. It was easy in my head when I planned it out, but a real challenge in practicality.
In other news the camera picked up a young fox trying to get through the opening in the fence that the hedgehogs use, it was persistent but eventually realised that it wasn't going to happen. The cat that adopted us has been making itself at home and is now a regular visitor, tapping with its paw on the patio door window each morning.

Mine turned out far less serious than 'those' but when I was diagnosed with cancer I said to Sue "let's look on the positive side, I've had a bloody good run at life".
WRONG THING to say, I really put my foot in it there.
However..... the lady diagnosed before me got "the bad news" and fell apart then and there.... they had to escort her out to a recovery room.
