Just been informed that I have passed the criteria to undertake my last stage of chemo' next week.
A bit scarey as I will, after this round, be switching to a more spaced out blood test/bone marrow biopsy regime. As daft as it sounds my weekly (sometimes more') hospital visits have proved to be invaluable in terms of psychological support.
Still, onwards & upwards. The next couple of years are critical long-term.

The top has a tiny hole for venting. Put the egg in, pierce egg with fork (surprisingly it says whole), put 1/2 tb spoon of water on top, put lid on...... bung in micro and bingo.
Try for 45 seconds and see how it goes.

I greased before I put the egg in but that was my idea and I don't know if it's needed.

No, out of the shell.....I always break my egg into a cup before any cooking but that's just me.

Your comment is not daft as I am similar position. I am currently on chemo every two weeks for bowel and liver cancer and find the hospital visits as reassuring and am in a comfortable cycle of hospital visits. I am told my body needs a rest when the current chemo block (12 cycles) ends in December but I am lucky with only very minimal side effects so would happily carry on if it is doing some good.

OK, that makes more sense. Just never come across a special gadget for poaching eggs, I've always managed with just a pan.

I heard good things so went for it. Got a second hand but still sealed in the box one for £35 off Ebay.
Doesnt quite shave as close as a blade, but you wouldn't know from looking. Much more comfortable and dead easy and convenient.
