I is back.
Got back in bed at 04.30 and woke again just before 0900. I suppose it all adds up.

Pleasant walk done round the riverside trail. Never met a soul all the way round. It felt mild when I set out, but the cloud disappeared and the sky got clear and it seemed to get quite chilly. It's gorgeous now though. Blue sky and sunshine so it will warm up soon.

I am off to a thing with AgeUK later to prepare for an open day, where we persuade old people to do just this

should I change my user name to "The Grim Reaper"??

Actually it should be interesting I will be the only person there without targets as I am a volunteer and if they don't like what I do I can tell them to *** off
the others are getting anxious

all seems a bit wrong for a charity

The man is here to install fibre broadband. He is doing one part now and the second part this afternoon when his colleague is here to help with the outside cable.

We are having ours installed tomorrow 😂

Ah! Excellent - no not the swing and swoon - but someone else who does the housework in their PJs and/or dressing gown.

Mrs P has woken. She is proper, proper poorly with real flu. We've messaged our friends to warn them as she's clearly infectious. I'm now waiting to see if they will still come. Two problems there, Mrs P won't be up for doing anything, in our little house the possibility of catching it is high. I've got all the doors and windows open, we used to do this when one of us had Covid. It worked we never had Covid at the same time or close together.

I remember spending Christmas Day on my own with all the windows open. 🤣

Home made chicken pie for lunch, followed by a walk, that will do me for the day.

Salut. Had our chimney swept this morning and was surprised he charged us the same as last year: £60. We need a new cowl on top as the old one got blown off in the wind.
Specsavers for yearly eye test this afternoon but don't expect to need new glasses as last year's are still OK.
We are going to see Tony Christie in Rhyl tomorrow night. He is 82 now and apparently suffers from early dementia.

I usually do the hoovering first thing Thursday morning giving MrsPete free reign with the dusters & polish while I'm out on Fridays at work or play.
