After a nightmare rail journey to London last night we are here in the big smoke to watch the Lord (actually Lady) Mayor’s parade. Other plans for the weekend include the Dickens museum, and the Tower to see the poppies. Might pull in an organ recital at St Paul’s too

What went wrong?

14.32 cancelled. “Take the next one to Birmingham and catch the 15.36 from there”. 15.36 cancelled due to trespassers on line. Finally boarded 16.06, which departed 16.21. Crowd of rowdy, inebriated, students joined us as Rugby. Finally arrived Euston 18.37 somewhat frazzled.

Parcels to take to the PO again today. Been selling a lot of bits on Ebay recently.
Might get out on one of the BSAs later.

Talking of our old schools my Bro sent me photos of what's left of our junior school. Just the teachers house (which i can't recall), my class room and the sign. I will try and attach them below.

Had a nice week, it was my daughter’s 23rd birthday so she has been back from university but has now gone back to London. My son is also back from University so we are going to have a day in Bristol today as we visited about a year ago and really liked it. So should be a nice weekend, he‘s nice company.

My old school had a flat roof and you didn’t tend to leave with a great deal of academic attainment.
