I just can't understand why someone would pay hundreds of pounds for a few hours sleep.

because in many hotels it’s not just a bed for the night. It’s about luxury, location and a one off experience

No, very cool. I like that. Mrs P would probably leave me if I got one.........

Good morning all.
Heavy rain for the day here, lovely  .
Bad sleep, full of weird dreams. At one point i woke with a start as, in my dream, the house was on fire. I could actually smell the smoke and had to get up and check that it was only a dream.
We ate far too late (for me) last night and I have a feeling that was the cause.
So, sat with a cuppa plus kitkat while listening to Tony Blackburn.
Have a good day all.

Good morning all.
I in bed listening to Tony Blackburn on the radio and drinking my first mug of tea.
The rain is beating against the window and is set to continue for much of the day. The cats didn't look too happy going out into the garden.
The green bin lorry 🚚 has been down our road, and I've just bought a couple of tickets to see Jools Holland at the Alban arena next May.
It's all go at the moment. :cuppa:

Morning all :hello:

Day in the workshop for me; reassembling the Barracuda top end after a bit of investigative surgery.
It was running terribly the other day - thought it might be a sticky inlet valve, so I whipped the cylinder head off to see. Nope, it wasn't that - but I did notice that the inlet tract was 'gummy' - then it dawned on me. I reckon that the ethanol in the petrol had been attacking the inside of the fibreglass tank and contaminating the fuel.
The fuel tank has now been treated with an ethanol resistant resin.
I reckon it'll be OK when I ditch the fuel that was in the tank (which does look dicoloured) and stick some fresh stuff in it.
The joys of running old bikes, eh?
