Sadly one of us leaving this mortal coil is the reality and it bl**dy hurts**.
Both Sue and I often talked about moving back to the Wirral but circumstances always seemed to get in the way. Warrington is an OKish place but as ebiker will tell you the Wirral has lots of attractions.
**Fortunately I can cook (can't bake) and have learned the domestics.
How maulin is that?

Right, a quick Forest Gump then ill give my van a clean. Both those things usually cheer me up.

I’m off for the winter as the bike shop I work at is dead slow, no big deal for me as it is the part time retired guy gig.

Anyway, I’ve been putting in some hours for the local community bike shop preparing donated bikes for the big Christmas give away for people, mostly kids, who can’t otherwise afford a bike.

Yesterday was the big event, people were invited to attend based on feedback from local social assistance groups, so they know the bikes are going where they are most needed. I dropped by just to see how it was going. All kinds of people picking out and trying bikes, all with the same odd look on their faces like “ is this really happening, what’s the hitch.”

And then the sight of kids headed away with a “new” bike in hand, smiles on their faces.

There were requests for 89 bikes and more than enough machines were made available, so everybody should have left happy.

I mooched a coffee and left feeling a bit better about this old world.

Two of the bikes from the last give away.

Been for a ride

I felt it only right to try the Orange Cake at the cafe boat as they go to all the trouble of making it Gluten Free

then someone turned on teh rain on the way back but not for long

bike was covered in mud when I got back so I've hosed it off and putit away now

so - lunch!

Done 20 minutes on the treadmill,,quite enjoyable as it's facing the bird feeder.
I am buying myself a table top food blender (as against those little hand held ones). Homebargains have one on offer @ £12.99 so I will nip and get one. I will call at Iceland for a bag of frozen veg........I fancy some home made soup.
