Silly question but I assume a combo lock still needs a chain/cable. Surely bolt cutters can cut throught that ?
I have 2 and they are on the end of a cable
I can find the combination on both just by pulling them and fiddling with the dials
so they are just for parking up when I stop for a coffee and can see it!
When I was a teacer in a "difficult" school I was teaching IT and had 2 cupboards with laptops in them
In their undoubted wisodm the IT support from the council insisted on having combination locks on the cupboards
One of the kids cracked it!
to be fair to him - he left the lock closed but not pushed together so it LOOKED OK until I looked closely - rather then taking anything
WHen I asked him he said the challenge was just too much
which was fair enough I though - I would have!!
as an extra - the IT support refused to let us change the combination after that!!
