BLACK INK ONLY for official forms.

This was mentioned on here recently.
I have just filled in the form for renewal of my driving licence.......it stipulated that I must sign in black ink.
Fortunately my daughter had a black ink pen handy as mine are blue.

No guesses for Britain's 1st Christmas themed postage stamp ?
I can see Drago winning the prize

1966?

welsh dragon

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
There is a scam going round in Powys telling people they have an outstanding parking charge abd need to pay it. I just got a text telling me I have one and have to pay. NOPE

Maybe ebiker could use that on his grandkids as he doesn't like the idea of giving them a dam good thrashing

We have more fearsome weapons at our disposal

EVen their cousin is worried about being SAT on the sofa and made to sit still while the other play and have biscuits

the little one (5) normally tries crying, but we have had kids and don't fall for that one!

boredom and being left out is a terrible punishment for young kids

Another walk done before the sun dropped. Still chilly and frost not lifted on the sheltered pavements. All change tomorrow. Milder but rain.

Well that worked better than expected

Apparently we needed a new star for the tree

one was ordered and arrived yesterday but is bigger and heavier than expected so the top branch on the artificial tree will not bear the weight

so I was "asked" to find a solution
after digging in the shed - AKA bike storage - I found a 4 inch nail and a bamboo cane that might be possibly tied to the main "trunk" of the tree and extend upwards for the star to attach to
The nail was too shiny but the bamboo could be chopped to fit nicely

I went to a shop and got some cable ties - as the other have mysteriously disappeared
and it turned out that one large cable tie fixed everything nicely in place

which was a shock - I expected to need at least 3 and for it to still be wobbly

all a bit Heath Robinson - but works pretty well
