When I discovered that the ground was all frozen so cycling on tracks would be "brave"

I decided to go for a walk instead

I just went round the local street

I was out for an hour walking pretty fast

when I got back Strava said I had done just over 5,000 steps

which means that the "recommended" 10,000 steps means 2 hours of walking

which is more than I thought - I ride for about 2 hours but onlya few times a week

based on the recommendations - I am probably dead or something
Maybe you were following yourself, closely.

I would say that's about right. I went out on Boxing Day for 52 minutes with 4366 steps and 1.75 miles. It was a gentle stroll with my son.

I do feel the 10000 steps thing means very little. On what I consider a sedentary day I average 6400 and that's doing nothing.

Two hour rides a few times a week is excellent.

I've been tidying. We have a box we keep these in. I'm not sure why. I don't know enough people I want to give wine to.......there are 22 bags in the box!

Same here Mo ^_^ i shall be walking the beach and watching dvd's...only difference is i wont be eating chocolate as ive snaffled it all!

I just can’t moderate stuff like chocolate. I think I will have to be really disciplined and realise that I just can’t buy or eat any sweet tasting foods since it just makes me go mental with massive binges.
Just on my 5th day of eating carnivore and the food noise in my brain is quietening down.

Ive never ever not eaten the whole packet of jaffa cakes!
Im a very dubious about a total carniverous diet wouldnt that be artery clogging... search long enough online and someone will recommend eating tin tacks on toast... Lots of fruit n veg for me [but then im 99% vegetarian]. :okay:

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I look around every year - but alwasy go back to the old company and at least give them a chance to beat it

As a result I ended up with Tesco for house and car insurance form quite a while

I have also been with EDF for energy for ages - they just always come out cheaper

not sure why - everyone else says that accepting the quote from the current lot is always more expensive - but it doesn;t seem like that to me

maybe my name is on a list or something??

It isn't always more expensive, it can be. Looking around this year I have saved £150

Coooeeee. 5 deg here

I'm quite good when it comes to biscuits and sweets now. And I can take 4 jaffa cakes out of the packet and leave the rest for the next day. At one time I would have scoffed the lot. As for chocolate I can take just a couple of pieces to eat and leave the rest. My family think I'm weird being able to do that.

I'm with your family on this one. Mrs P is the same. The self-control I have to exert to avoid eating her chocolate is immense.................sometimes I have to go out and buy replacements before she notices.

Good morning. Dull, grey, chilly. Not much on really. The napkins and Christmas table cloth need ironing before putting away for another 12 months. Then I'll pop down to the gym. Hopefully when I get home I'll summon the motivation to get on the allotment for a couple of hours.

I still have a packet of four mince pies..........................unopened.............:eek::eek:
