Getting old but not past it

Bonjour.
Had a call from the kitchen fitter last night to say he won't be starting today but probably in a couple of days. He is going to ring back today with a definite day.

Morning.
Grey and breezy but not actually raining. No doubt it will soon.
Day of DIY yesterday and I'll be continuing today. Installed new tv in bedroom which meant sorting out wiring and aerial, drilling wall, putting up bracket and tv so everything is concealed as it's wall mounted. Today I'll be filling and painting a few holes as we no longer have a landline phone so various fixing screws to be removed and filled etc.
After that, weights.

Am I the only person in the world that has never had a TV in the bedroom.
Apart from the odd time when I've been bed ridden I have never seen the point. I wake up, get up washed, changed and out (of the bedroom).
Even then I tend to listen to the radio as against TV.

To be honest we rarely used it but what happened was the tv in kitchen died so I moved old one from bedroom to kitchen and bought a new. bigger better one for bedroom. Now it's being watched as a novelty as it's smart tv so wife watches a bit of itvx/iplayer etc in the morning as in the evenings she's usually working. I got up to make the tea and she put telly on and watched Millionaire Hotseat.
Jeremy Clarkson first thing in the morning. What a way to start the day

We have a TV in the bedroom - SWMBO used to watch it before going to sleep - she had it ona timer so it switched off after an hour

These days she reads instead so it hasn't been used for a few years

Up early this morning, at the dealers for 8.00am to have my car fixed as the rear wash wipe has stopped working, needless to say they didn't have the part in stock so I'll have to make yet another visit later in the week.

Now I no longer have to get up and go to a paid job, an 8.00am start was a bit of a shock, it was like getting up for a flight!

Got a walk done earlier and just been up to the Co-op for a few things.

As I was crossing the road I noticed a kind driver flashing a driver out of the side road. The woman in the car behind him looked livid and was gesticulating at him. She was literally held up for all of 3 or 4 seconds. What is wrong with everyone these days. So much impatience and aggression.
