And another thing.
Not sure ive done the right thing here but i've verbally agreed to go to the Canary Islands with daughter and SiL (plus his mum) next December. They have just come back and highly rate it.
As i say, not sure about it and have lots of time to decline.

I've been to Canaries loads of times, mainly Lanzarote surfing but a few times to Fuerteventura and once to Tenerife.
They are volcanic islands so not "pretty" as such, some impressive scenary but after a while it's all a bit of a windy wasteland to be honest!
They are very windy so be ready for that.
I'm probably being too harsh and lots will leap in to say how great they are etc but I much prefer the Balaerics.

I and MrsP are off to Gran Canaria for two weeks in just over a weeks time. MrsP does like a bit of winter sun in January. The weather is very pleasant, around 20⁰C at this time of year.
Tenerife or Gran Canaria are the best ones to go to this time of year.

Fuerteventura is thier 'go to' destination. A place called (spelling?) Corelleco.
Sue and i went there years back and really enjoyed it. We went b&b and there were lots of cheap places to eat out but daughter and SiL favour all inclusive.
I will cogitate.

I'm with you re Balearics but as this will be in December the canaries sound right.
I recall, the only time Sue and I went it was difficult to sunbathe on the beach cos of the constant wind.
This, for me, would be just a chillout as my legs wont allow serious walking now.

Good morning. It looks like a nice day is dawning. Out on my walk yesterday I saw our swans had returned, hear birdsong, spotted three lapwing, nice to see small signs of spring.

Off to see my GP for 9.30. I'll get there 15 minutes early to let my HR and BP settle before seeing him. I've had some discomfort in my chest and left arm of late. I'm sure it relates to the RTC, probably when I picked up the five year-old a few weeks ago, but one can't be too careful.

Cards group this afternoon and I'll pop to the gym after that. Perhaps a short walk this morning.

Today's crossword is tough. Even when I use the "cheat word" function I can't understand the clues. Very tough. I only do this when I've given up.

Have we done our tax returns? Only 16 days to go. Did mine last night.

Never ever done one. They seem to manage to take plenty of tax off my work pension now.

Earlier rain went off so 5.2 mile wander done. Just had a couple of eggs with mushrooms for breakfast.
