Never ever done one. They seem to manage to take plenty of tax off my work pension now.

Earlier rain went off so 5.2 mile wander done. Just had a couple of eggs with mushrooms for breakfast.

You shouldn't need to, your pension provider will know about your state pension and deduct tax accordingly. Just like PAYE.

I have to do a return as I have state pension + additional state pension (SERPS) which takes me over the tax threshold.

HR and BP "fantastic" My HP outlined a number of reasons why I'm feeling my chest/rib area. As all the RTC sites are reacting it's most likely cold, damp weather related. He's not concerned.

I am!! My granny used to complain about the damp. I must be getting feckin' old. 🤣🤣🤣

I live on the crest of a big hill with 55 metres elevation above the nearest watercourse. I made blummen sure of flood risk data before even going to view it. Its a shame many others dont have the nouse to check such freely available information, only to then complain when it floods.

As I have a State Pension plus a few smaller private pensions & work seven or eight shifts a month, all income is attatched to PAYE.

A few people in Shropshire might think that is not as certain as it sounds!!

Good to see that the CRT seem to be getting the boats sorted out there
One already floated and another probably being winched up the new slope today
the other one seems to be on the way as well - assuming it floats anyway - it looks pretty badly flooded!!!

After a few weeks you could just make out the footbridge over the river, the last few steps leading up to it jys visible above a sea of water. At least the developers have named it " Rivers Edge " or something equally appropriate.

Similar near me, some developers decided to build a new estate on what had always been flood plain nicely situated along the river bank and some councillors decided it was a good idea. Everyone was totally shocked when it flooded a few years later. I bet they never bought any of the houses.

There was an area near us (Moreton Shore for those that know The Wirral)
there is a big concrete embankment and a wide grassed area behind it
then a road - which is raised a bit - and then what was some scrub land behind that - which was scrud land because when it rained the wate rhad nowhere to go as it was below sea level for half the day

SO they build a housing estate on it
My Dad knew a bloke who bought one of them - we mentioned all this and he made sure his house was on a slightly higher bit
To my knowledge it has never flooded
but I reckon it is only a matter of time
OK - that was probably up to 40 years ago - but I tend to want my house to last a fair bit longer than that!!!
