Well….expensive flights booked for the grand Down Under tour in Oct…managed to make the RTW and still avoid US - Auckland to Vancouver is a thing 💪

Then a win playing the old volleyball thing, but my shoulder is telling me this really must be the last year 🫣

Now sat in the Leicester Eye Hospital for a check up….I’m sure it will be fine, no changes since getting hit in the face by a ball 4 months ago 😜

Good morning folks. Lurgy is in full spate so I am sitting on the sofa to avoid disturbing Mrs Tkk. Took some medication before bed , 100ml of Laphroaig and a few squares of Lindt dark chocolate 🥃.
Just been browsing to find my next bottle of medicine and saw these " tasting notes " for one particular brand
: " Powerful and unforgettable with a barrage of aromas. Tangy sea spray, bonfire smoke, salted bananas and baked apples arouse the senses. With an obviously peaty aroma, this whisky has notes of soot and smoke that are backed up by sponge pudding and candied orange. The smoke is perhaps more restrained on the palate, giving way to a wasabi spice and a meaty quality."
🤔

Well you got that right. Laphroaig tastes like medicine BUT after someone has added some mouthwash and washing up liquid to it.
As the old saying goes......what doesnt kill you makes you better.
Get well soon.

Big footy match on at midday....Utd vs City.

Morning all .
Our green bin collection runs for 11 months a year here in Coventry . Stops before Christmas and re starts the end of January . This is to make sure they have enough labour to cope with extra normal and recycling rubbish they have over Christmas. This system seems to work well.

Can I ask why ? Its seems normal to me , well it seems normal FOR me, since I retired, which I do understand is not necessarily the same thing . 😂
I worked shifts for most of my life so for a lot of my life going to bed at 2.am and getting up at 10am was ‘normal ‘ for me . 😀

It's been proven that going to bed close to the same time every night is better for your health, especially if you can get at least an hour before midnight. I'm doing my best to try for between 10 and 11 at the latest.

Rainy walk done.

Over the years i have found that i need 8 hours sleep. As ive got older that does vary but if i wake early i go back for 60-90 minutes mid morning.
So...... by going at 23.30 i missed early morning which is a favourite part of the day, especially on Saturday as 0600 is Sounds of the 60s.
Hope that makes sense.

Barnet,
Our green bins are only emptied from (approx) mid March to end of October......even though we pay. A shame as a year round service would all us to use winter to prepare for the spring.

Our green bin collection stops for about 6 weeks from mid December until the 24th of January. So next week for us.
My bin is chocka block.

I keep trying green tea as it's supposed to be good for you but found the taste too earthy for my taste, but found a nice Twinings one that has mint in it and it's much more palatable. Just having a big mug now.

Sue tried all sorts of herbie type teas. They were all cr*p to me. You're supposed to actually enjoy a cup of tea
