I finally got a ride, 65 miles, 14.5avg. I'm pleased with this.

As I wandered upstairs for a shower I mused "is it too early to put my PJs on?" This was met with a very definite YES from Mrs P............it was 3.30...........I later realised I needed to clean and wax the chain before taking the bike to the garage.

Back out on Wednesday with luck.

Where you went wrong !!!
If wanting to know if you should put PJs on at 3 30 you need to ask @Mo1959
Of course, hers have pussy cats on them, you need some with photos of 105s all over.

I decided to do the Aldi shop. Glad I did as I've now got all my 'must do' jobs done. I fancy a real slob day tomorrow. I have some decent films recorded. I have some mixed olives, some nice blue cheese AND..........fruit scones, clotted cream and some special preserve (couldn't get strawberry) ......meal fit for a king.

Spotted an oxymoron there Dave, " nice " and " blue cheese "

My buddy's lock failed today. He locked our bikes together and when we came out of the cafe the lock had jammed. Out came the trusty pliers........10 seconds to cut the cable on a cafe lock. I'm going to review the security measures for my bike(s) when parked at a cafe.

I've probably carried this around for 20 years. Never been used..............

Just be aware that lock knives are a twilight area of UK law, and cant be carried in public without "good reason" - theres no automatic right to carry one, unlike other types kf knife under 7.62mm.

I've modified my similar tool so the knife blade itself doesn't lock open by removing the blade and griding off the notch and my bench grinder.

WOW! I know it's unlikely but I as a pensioner cyclists could be in bother for carrying what I view as an innocent multi-tool.

I don't suppose "good reason" would include just in case. I've never used it till today. On this basis I'll die before I need it again.
