I tried to do that at my GP's. I was told I had to phone in. I sat in the reception area and called them.
Let me tell you a story. So chemo messes with you during and after,Well Mrs P noticed a large mass/spot thing on my back, naturally i cannot see it.So Doc sends me to Chapel Allerton Hospital.I like to be early i am sat in the waiting room after being booked in by a receptionist.I have my phone in my shoulder bag thing,my appointment time comes and goes, not bothered they are busy.Phone goes off,i cannot get it out fast enough, and no message is left.So another twenty or so mins go on,and people are coming in sitting down for a few mins, then going through.I go to the desk,i am waiting for my appointment, and it is now about 50 mins overdue. What is happening,oh it has been cancelled, you will have to go and come back.Sorry did you ring about 9-30 yes i did, well had you checked your computer records you would see i was booked in at about 9-15 and i was sat next to your desk thing, now i am NOT leaving.I was seen in half an hour, what had happened was at another hospital a doctor rang in sick.So they sent ours to there and cancelled all the Leeds appointments, why not just cancel the other hospital.Anyway it turned out the mass was ok.
