Morning all.
Been up since 4 o'clock so may shortly go back for an hour.
I have a truly free day. All jobs have been done, plenty of food made, no washing to do......so.....what to do ???

Have another snooze then a hearty breakfast and then head out and break your walking distance record.

Don’t talk football….the once mighty Foxes have fallen on hard times in the Midlands 🫣

More work on the patio project today….been collecting marketplace/free slabs for some time, & with my crazy “soil stabilisation” technique (no hard core, just rotavate about £80 of cement directly into the soil), we have built this so far:

Obviously time will tell whether it rocks and rolls or works, but 🤞
Still the gaps to fill and front steps for figure out, but getting there.
Back/knees/hands/legs/everything aches 😱

Good morning all.
A cool start to the day here, but forecast to get up to 17⁰ by this afternoon.
It's our Son's Birthday today, he is 38. Doesn't time fly when you are having fun.🤔
We have have a restaurant booked for this evening.
All the usual things to do during the day beforehand though.

Good morning from a sunny Dorset. A light frost on the roof this morning and I inadvertently left the rubber plant on the patio overnight 🤞
17degrees promised today so I might wander up to the Stour and see if there's any rowing practice ( I was really disappointed as last time I saw the teams out training, the guy on the bicycle shouting instructions had a loudspeaker instead of megaphone )
Have a peaceful Friday folks 😎☀️

25 years ago I laid a sandstone patio around 3 sides of our house. Very hard work and a headache getting it all right with slope etc but worth it. I need to redo the grouting again, last time got this stuff which basically made into a slurry and swept it in whilst it was wet and it worked well but now needs another go. If you zoom in under table you'll see I have similar circular design there.
