Mrs W left her phone in Tesco’s at the checkout as it’s an iPhone we located it as being there through her iPad. We went to the help desk and asked if anyone had handed in an iPhone. They straight away said no however on saying well it’s showing as being here. They suddenly back tracked and said we’ll just check and guess what there it was.
Clearly they were hoping nobody would come and ask about it.

or possibly they did not know and it had not been recorded properly??

I have seen situations where different members of staff in a store think the procedure for recording "lost property" are different
I was in one shop where they looked through 3 different books to see if something had been handed in or not!!!

I believe Santander App allows cheques to be paid in online

edit: too late!

Yes I was - got to Santander at 3:10 to find it closes at 3!!!!

The advantage of online banking via the App, other than maintenance etc, it does not have closing times 😂
