69, & my GP says I will officially be old at 70!

Don`t talk to me about ID. I have spent nearly all morning trying to verify who I am, in order to renew my driving licence. Never mind the fact that they had written to me anyway. No, I don`t have a valid passport. I got there in the end, at least only £14 and not over £20 at the PO.

I'll have that problem in 3 years time. I still have the old pink paper driving licence and will need to apply for a new photo one when I'm 70. I don't possess a passport either. The only photo ID I have is my bus pass.

We had to pay £50 to identify ourselves so we could redo our Wills. We do not have passports and our driving licences weren't enough!

An online portal was sent from the Solicitors for us to use. The strapline on the site was 'Improve your profits'.

Morning ride on an old route I haven't for a few years. Nice out although a cool breeze.

No voting here, either.

Still limping from my bone marrow biopsy of 2 days ago. I hour of absolute torture whilst they screw a huge needle into your hip to extract the marrow. Feeling sorry for myself!

Not much planned, maybe a Carnic in the offing.

Have a good one, all.

They weren't sure about the results with my first bone marrow biopsy so I had to have a second. The consultant ( looked about 14 ) happily produced her small blue and yellow £7 Wilko toolbox ( I had the same at home so I asked and she confirmed) and in she went. I worked in engineering so I have drilled and tapped innumerable holes, she was very good indeed and showed me the sample before dropping it in a container.
I think they go for the hip as the bone is easier to get to. As you say, not a very pleasant experience.

Afternoon folks :okay: battled a headwind over to Golspie today as i needed to arrange delivery for some compost which the hardware store does- so mission complete and i whizzed back along my 'favourite' xx( road the A9..
I do like feeding the blackbirds but the ***ers are digging holes everywhere  i apply a mulch and the blackbirds re-apply it over paths and young plants...Think they were confused today as one minute i gave them some cheese and later shoo'ed them away....
