Don`t talk to me about ID. I have spent nearly all morning trying to verify who I am, in order to renew my driving licence. Never mind the fact that they had written to me anyway. No, I don`t have a valid passport. I got there in the end, at least only £14 and not over £20 at the PO.

I'll have that problem in 3 years time. I still have the old pink paper driving licence and will need to apply for a new photo one when I'm 70. I don't possess a passport either. The only photo ID I have is my bus pass.

We had to pay £50 to identify ourselves so we could redo our Wills. We do not have passports and our driving licences weren't enough!

An online portal was sent from the Solicitors for us to use. The strapline on the site was 'Improve your profits'.

Morning ride on an old route I haven't for a few years. Nice out although a cool breeze.

No voting here, either.

Still limping from my bone marrow biopsy of 2 days ago. I hour of absolute torture whilst they screw a huge needle into your hip to extract the marrow. Feeling sorry for myself!

Not much planned, maybe a Carnic in the offing.

Have a good one, all.

They weren't sure about the results with my first bone marrow biopsy so I had to have a second. The consultant ( looked about 14 ) happily produced her small blue and yellow £7 Wilko toolbox ( I had the same at home so I asked and she confirmed) and in she went. I worked in engineering so I have drilled and tapped innumerable holes, she was very good indeed and showed me the sample before dropping it in a container.
I think they go for the hip as the bone is easier to get to. As you say, not a very pleasant experience.

Afternoon folks :okay: battled a headwind over to Golspie today as i needed to arrange delivery for some compost which the hardware store does- so mission complete and i whizzed back along my 'favourite' xx( road the A9..
I do like feeding the blackbirds but the ***ers are digging holes everywhere  i apply a mulch and the blackbirds re-apply it over paths and young plants...Think they were confused today as one minute i gave them some cheese and later shoo'ed them away....

Strange that, about your driving licences not being enough. I was excecutor to my late father`s will. I had to verify who I was, with both his bank and the solicitor. As well as photo id ( driving licence) they needed a current utility bill as well. Both were accepted. Sometimes I think that these bodies make things up as they go along, that is why there is no consistency. My father`s will was purchased from a stationery shop, filled in and witnessed. Mind you, what the solicitor charged for the discharge of the will was eye watering, in my mind. It was an easy 50/50 split.

Latest money laundering regulations, apparently.

How the hell can you launder money by creating a Will?!

I have had 8 now. The first was just plain awful, the middle 6 were bearable and Tuesday's was virtually beyond unbearable. I had to apologise for swearing at a couple of points!

They went 'in' 3 times, apparently the Leukaemia trial that I am on needed more samples than usual. And I have very hard bones (good at my age) and they are evidently tough to bore through. In the USA they do these under GA which makes more sense to me.

I am now bloody terrified of the next one in 3 months time.

That`s right, money laundering, that is what they said to me. Meanwhile, the REAL criminals get away with blue murder. I would`nt know how to launder money if I tried and don`t want. As long as I can sit and count my pennies each night, Fagin style, I am happy.

Dont get me wrong here as I know it really happens but...... as kids we never heard of anyone being allergic/intolerant of certain foods.

I did
I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease (can;t eat Gluten) when I was a baby
but by the time I started school it had "gone away" - whcih never happens - but if you look carefully there is a small amount of cases where it has happened
Anyway - it has come back

but when I was at school there were a few kids that couldn't eat this or that or the other
my friend for example could not have anything with milk in it except for tiny amounts

When I started working there were a few people that avoided certain things

but no-one made a fuss about it - it was just a thing and they dealt with it

Now I seem to have Coeliac Disease again I am annoyed by some of the people I come across on the WWW who are SOOOO over dramatic
and go on about how terrile it is and how depressed they are about how terrible it is

FFS - it is YOUR problem and you need to deal with it
it is nice when someone helps out but fi I go to a birthday party and they have forgotten I can;t eat cake then whatever
I will just have a cuppa and sing Happy Birthday (well not actually sing - the grand kids are nice and torture is not allowed anyway)

but some people seem to react as this sort of thing is an infringement of their Human Rights and torture is the only suitable punishment

sorry - just seen the start of a video from "an influencer" by mistake - Gods she is annoying but she does sometimes have something useful to say so FaceAche keeps feeding her videos to me!!!
