I think it's as much mental for me as physical. I'm just not enjoying the roads unless I go out at silly o'clock in the morning. There's not a huge amount of trails around here to do off road either.

Strangely, living in semi-rural Lake District there are far fewer off road trails than you might imagine.

There are obvious ones like Grizedale Forest & High Street but more local 'networks' do not exist.

Plenty of footpaths though.

A gravel bike would be a waste. My older Giant CX was a stranger to tracks & trails & was relegated to turbo duties.
