Bit sad that this was just 5 years ago and must have been at least a 40 mile ride judging by where I was. How the mighty have fallen!

I think it's as much mental for me as physical. I'm just not enjoying the roads unless I go out at silly o'clock in the morning. There's not a huge amount of trails around here to do off road either.

Strangely, living in semi-rural Lake District there are far fewer off road trails than you might imagine.

There are obvious ones like Grizedale Forest & High Street but more local 'networks' do not exist.

Plenty of footpaths though.

A gravel bike would be a waste. My older Giant CX was a stranger to tracks & trails & was relegated to turbo duties.

Ye gods! It is dire out there.

Sopping wet, thick clag and, all in all, utterly dispiriting*.

Might do some gym, will definitely be breaking out the Kindle machine. Might even light a fire just to cheer things up.

Enjoy your day - weather permitting!

*Probably the first time I have ever typed that word, was the thought that crossed my mind as I typed it.

Itll be a cold day in Hades before I agree with AI.

It is correct quite often
but then it is also wrong quite often

so it is like a speech by a politician - you have to fact check it
which does make it rather useless

What about an omelette with lots of cheese including some nice ripe blue cheese ?

You are a disgusting pervert!!!!

It is a statement of the love I have for SWMBO that I actually make things like that for her!!!

Although as I am now taking medicine for some "things" blocking my nasal passages that have been there for many year
then that might become a problem

Worst thing - Cheese sauce from M&S

Yea Gods that stuff stinks!!

We don't scimp on things In Wales you know. We go all out.

yes - I used to live in North Wales and i heard about some "events" up in the hills where the actual detail were unclear

and this was from the Deputy head of the Department Of Education of a University when doing a lecture to trainee teachers!!!

and also from some people who lived in villages on the edge of the hills where no tourists go
